Hi there, I am Kimberly and am so glad you are here! I started A Wonderful Thought in October 2016 as a creative outlet. I am a wife, mom to 4 boys and still have a day job but I love doing DIY projects and creating new things to decorate our house. For years I have taken inspiration from others on the internet and Pinterest. I wanted to give back and hopefully do a little inspiring of my own. We are also in the process of updating our house so this is the perfect place to share our progress and projects. Also, I wanted to give our friends and family a break. I think we were starting to wear them out showing off all of our projects. Ha!
Behind the scenes is my hubby, Mr. Wonderful (wink, wink), he is a little camera shy. 🙂 He is sometimes dubbed a ”jack-of-all-trades”. He has a lot of talents that are super handy to have around when you do DIY projects. Some but not all of his talents include photography, woodworking, Photoshop skills, and he is also my tech support. How lucky am I? He is always willing to help out with our projects and usually leading the charge. He may pop in sometimes with a blog post and say hi.
I am the researcher, planner and usually the one who comes up with the ideas to keep Mr. Wonderful busy….love you honey! I am an easy going person, you can usually find me at home in yoga pants and a ponytail. I love crafting, reading, sewing, shopping for antiques, exploring new places and spending time with all my boys.
We love to travel and are a little, ok, A LOT obsessed with Disney! We have been on a vacation to something Disney related every year since 2006, sometimes a couple times a year! While I don’t consider myself an expert on Disney, I do feel that we have a lot to offer in advice on that subject. Our love for Disney is also where the name for A Wonderful Thought was born. I wanted to have a name that tied into Disney but was still relevant to a DIY blog.
Well enough about me! I hope you can find something here to inspire you to let your creative side fly. Like Peter Pan says, all you have to do is just think of a wonderful thought. 🙂
