Enjoy the rich, warm colors of this boho fall decor! The burgundy, rust, gold, plum and olive colors work together fantastically for a Boho theme. Especially when paired with natural raffia and fall florals.
I have been sharing a lot of boho inspired crafts lately and today you get to see how they all look together in my boho fall decor! Mostly I will be focusing on my boho mantel decor but I will also share the living room as well. So sit back and join me on the tour of my living room! π
Using color in your decorating
If you are not a fan of color in your decorating, then this boho fall decor may not be for you. But, it fits me like a glove! I LOVE decorating with color! However, I feel like I have to give a disclaimer with that. LOL
You will probably not find me painting my walls a bold color again anytime soon! I love having a neutral colored background and using pops of color in my accent pieces. These light blue-gray walls in the rental we are living in are about the extent of colored walls I can take. Ha! It always seems like they look even more blue in the pictures than in person! And I am not usually a person that decorates with blue very often, but I am trying to embrace them. For the short term anyway! π
Since I am also a person who likes to change up my decor often, having neutral colored walls, like a greige color, is the best solution! This allows me the freedom to change up the decor and color scheme frequently! The rich, warm colors of this boho farmhouse decor are right up my alley. How about you?
Inspiration for the boho mantel decor
The inspiration for my boho fall decor came from this DIY raffia wall hanging that I just shared last week. Liked I said in that post, I had been wanting to make one for a while. It looks so stunning. Even Mr. Wonderful was impressed with it, he said it is like a piece of art that you would buy to hang up in a room. I happen to agree with him. π
I already had these boho raffia pumpkins that I made last year, and I knew that they would fit in perfectly with the raffia wreath.
To spotlight the braided raffia pumpkin, I put him under a glass cloche. Check out my post on the glass bell cloches decorated for fall for more details. It has much better pictures of the glass cloches. One great thing about this house is all the windows, they give great natural light for taking pictures. However, it is also a bad thing when you are trying to capture a photograph of something under glass! Too much reflection.
Using natural elements for your fall boho decor
Besides the natural raffia, I also used some dried fall florals. I couldn’t believe it when I found this eucalyptus bouquet at Hobby Lobby, the colors were perfect!
I also added some of these wheat looking stems and the rust orange fig berries to fill out the floral arrangement. These two additions also helped to round out the colors by bringing in the gold, olive and rust to the burgundy, plum and mustard yellow.
Luckily I already had these burgundy pumpkins. You can see them on this burgundy and mustard fall mantel, which has a similar color scheme. See, I told you I loved these colors! Ha! I added in some pears which gives a nice pop of gold on the mantel.
Boho farmhouse decor
The addition of these distressed candle holders and arches on the sides of the mantel give a nice farmhouse touch to this boho fall mantel.
Add a fun boho tassel garland for the finishing touch
The finishing touch to any mantel is always the garland, at least in my opinion anyway. π This boho tassel garland was fun to make. I will be sharing a tutorial for it next week so stay tuned for that!
Doesn’t it help to bring it all together? Not sure if I have said this too much already, but I absolutely am smitten with this mantel and the color scheme.
Boho living room decor
To tie in the rest of the living room with the mantel, I found some coordinating colored pillow covers. I already had the burgundy ones but I found the olive, gold and rust colored ones at Ikea.
I decorated a little vignette on the coffee table with more natural elements including some Indian corn and wheat.
The lantern with the berry garland around it ties into the berries in the glass cloche since that is where I got them from. π
That is it for now, but I have more fall decor to share with you next week! So until then, have a great weekend!

Does the rafia not droop over when hung o wall
Kimberly says
Hi Constance! When I first hung it on the wall, I smoothed back all the raffia and it has stayed in the same position since then. It does not droop over at all. π
