This has to be one of the quickest and easiest appetizers you will ever make! There really is no recipe because you only need 3 ingredients and it is technically more arranging than making. π This is not a new idea, but I just saw a picture of it the other day and loved the idea! I thought you would too!
You will need:
- 8 oz cream cheese – I used Philadelphia cream cheese
- Crackers – I used Club Crackers
- Sweet Pepper or Jalapeno Jelly
Stick the cream cheese in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes before arranging. This will make it easier to cut and handle. Cut the cream cheese block in half diagonally. Then put the halves back together in the shape of a Christmas Tree.
I used the knife to level off the top and fill in the crack but that is really not necessary since you will be pouring jelly on the top anyway. But you can do it if you want better presentation. π
Cut one of the crackers in thirds to use as the stem of the tree.
Add your jelly to the top. I used two different kinds to incorporate red and green for Christmas colors. I tried to drizzle the red on to resemble ribbon on the tree. The jelly may stay in place better if it is refrigerated first. The jellies I used were not opened yet and sitting on the counter so they were room temperature when we took these pictures.
Now just put some on a cracker and enjoy your cream cheese Christmas tree! I LOVE cream cheese with pepper jelly. I could eat it all day! The whole family devoured this snack after I was done taking pictures. That is the perk of having a mom blogger I guess. π What do you think of this idea? Can you think of anything easier? I don’t think I can! Check out the links below for more awesome holiday party food ideas!

Cutting the cream cheese into a tree shape is such an easy and fun idea. You gave me one of those aha why didn’t I think of that.
LOL, it isn’t my brainchild, but I know what you mean. I had that same thought!
