Do you want to decorate for Easter with a simple, understated look? This easy Easter tabletop decor will add just the right amount of decoration for the holiday without going overboard.
Are you all ready for Easter? I am partway there, I have my decorating all done, at least. π I shared my Easter mantel decor with you recently and wanted to share the dining room decor with you today. I have decorated a simple Easter tablescape to go along with some buffet table decor.
A simple Easter tablescape
My policy on tablescapes is the simpler, the better! You don’t have go elaborate with fresh greenery and flowers to make your table look pretty! Although, I have to admit, it does look quite stunning!
I actually did it once for this citrus and floral spring tablescape and while I did love it, it wasn’t all that practical. The flowers die too quickly and the cut-up fruit doesn’t last long either. Plus, the tall vases don’t make for easy conversation at the table! π
I suppose if you are having a get together, it is fun to get some fresh flowers to use. However, I like to leave my table setting up as decor for the season too, so the real stuff just doesn’t cut it around here!
Our DIY dough bowl is a common centerpiece that I like to use. It is so versatile and easy to change up what is inside to fit the season. Here you can see I have filled it with faux greenery, burlap carrots and painted speckled eggs. The greenery consists of garlands that I have cut up into sections. I love the pop of orange amongst the neutral colors.
In addition, I used some of the burlap carrots as placeholders on the plates. You could even make some fun nametags to tie around them if you have assigned seating at Easter dinner.
I also like to keep my plates simple and neutral so they go with all my tablescapes. On this Easter tablescape, I have layered some natural chargers and white chargers with a mix of cream and white plates. I don’t know about you, but I love the look of mixing creams and whites.
I will add some links at the bottom if you are looking to recreate this look! There is still time before Easter! π
Buffet table Easter decor
To coordinate with the tablescape, I decorated our “buffet table” (aka Lego storage cabinet) with some simple Easter tabletop decor as well. I continued the neutral color scheme with pops of orange.
An easy way to decorate for Easter is by simply adding bunnies around. I added a few ceramic bunnies with some carrots here and there to tie into the carrots on the dining room table.
On the DIY tobacco basket, I switched out the wreath to this boxwood wreath that has more of a spring look. On top of the wreath, I layered this finger knit bunny that I made a couple years ago. Isn’t he so stinkin’ cute?! I still love it!
In the vase, I added some small speckled mini eggs to the bottom with some floral stems that look like they are just starting to bloom.
To finish off the look, I added some faux plants and flowers for more of that spring feeling. The vintage fan works well with the antique vibe going on with the printer trays and tobacco basket.
