Happy Fall Y’all!! Fall is my favorite season to decorate for, although this year I am taking it easy with the decorations and keeping things simple. Of course, I still had to do a little crafting though. 🙂 I got together with a friend for a fun crafting day and came up with this super easy Autumn wreath. It literally took only about 10 minutes to throw together. It took longer to shop for the supplies than to make the wreath!
This year I wanted my fall décor color scheme to be burnt oranges and golds. I found the all the supplies for my wreath at Hobby Lobby. I was originally looking for some faux Chinese lantern plants to recreate a wreath I saw from Magnolia Market. Sadly I did not find the color I was looking for, so I improvised. I came across these gold leaves that were the perfect color! To add in a little more texture and color, I also got these fig berry stems in the burnt orange color.

I used a grapevine wreath as the base. The nice thing about these kind of wreaths is that you can stick stems of flowers/leaves into it and they stay put. 🙂 This is great because it eliminates the need for any glue and the wreath can be reused later if you decide to change it. The leaves and berries come on long stems that need to be cut down into shorter more manageable sizes. This is easily done with a pair of wire clippers. Don’t cut them too short, you want to leave a long enough stem to wedge into the grapevine wreath.
Then all you have to do is just start sticking the stems of the leaves into the wreath. Try to evenly space out the leaf stems to fill the wreath completely.
I bought 3 stems of the leaves but really wished I would have had 4 stems to fill it out a little more. The store only had 3 left unfortunately. However, I think it worked out okay as I wanted the wreath to look a little wispy anyway.
I noticed some of the leaves showed the glue on the leaf. I did not not care for the look of that. However, I was able to turn the leaf on the stem to hide that for the most part.
Check your wreath to make sure there are no empty spaces and adjust if needed. Then just repeat with the berry stems.
I love the colors in this wreath and how it turned out! I have wanted to use some of these berry stems in a project for a while. They resemble wood and I love that about them.
The leaves and berries stick off of the wreath a little bit giving lots of dimension to the wreath!
This easy Autumn wreath was so simple to make. It would be easy to change up to fit any color scheme or holiday as well.
What do you think? Are you going to make one? Trust me…easy peasy! I will be back soon to share my mantel and the rest of my décor with you. In the meantime, enjoy this nice fall weather while it lasts!!
