Happy Halloween! Is everyone ready for trick or treating tonight? The weather here is looking pretty decent thankfully! I remember some past Halloweens where it was so cold and snowy, the kids didn’t even want to go out. So I am always grateful for nice weather on Halloween! Today I am sharing a little festive decorating with my Halloween gallery wall. I realize it is too late for you to do anything like it this year, but you should definitely pin this for decorating inspiration for next year!
It was fun to change up our gallery wall for Halloween. We redesigned our gallery wall a couple years ago to be a Disney theme. We love Disney around here and have taken several trips so it only made sense to fill it with our Disney pictures. Well, you know how you get busy with life and don’t get to projects like you thought you would? That happened!
In short, we have had some pictures up the whole time that have needed to be replaced. There were even some vertical pictures turned sideways! Ha! Well I couldn’t leave it like that for our Halloween party. Right? So I decided to remove all the pictures and make a Halloween gallery wall. Maybe having a Halloween themed wall will finally motivate me to get the new pictures for the Disney gallery wall ordered! Let’s hope! 😉
You might recognize the plaque from the entrance to Magic Kingdom on the wall. I thought it still fits in the Halloween theme so I left it. After all Halloween is all about fantasy! The Main Street sign fit in so well with the colors I had to leave that too!
If I had more time, I would have made up some free printables but since this was last minute decor, I found most of these pictures from The Graphics Fairy. A couple of them came from Ella Claire.
I just printed the images depending on the size of the frame on regular paper and cut them to fit the frame. To help everything match a little better, I aged a couple of the pictures with some caramel color ink and a sponge.
Mr. Wonderful came up with the great idea highlight the skull in the picture above with the aging method. I loved how that looks and decided to do it on some of the other pictures as well.
This ‘boo’ sign was made for another project that I will be sharing soon, my new interchangeable front porch sign! 🙂 I can’t wait to share it with you, it is so cool! You can switch the saying on the sign out for different seasons. Love it! Since I was already using a different word on the front porch sign for my fall porch, I was able to use this ‘boo’ sign in my gallery wall.
It is a little hard to tell, but the ‘boo’ sign actually is 3D. It stands out from the frame. We used one of our chalkboard blanks as a black background and Mr. W made some spacers that he painted black. We attached the boo sign using magnets. 🙂
Speaking of chalkboards, this was a Halloween chalkboard that I made up previously. I have used it before on a Halloween mantel a couple years ago. If you want to learn how I make my chalkboards, check out this post.
When I first started making chalkboards, I was just going to erase them and make a new one when I wanted to change it. Mr. Wonderful said I should keep them and he made me up some blanks and a storage system for them. He was so right! Little did I know how long it would take to make one. I am so glad I listened to him. It is nice to pull them out years later to decorate with and have them already done! 😉
This book page rose wreath was another project I made several years ago. I used a similar technique for my book page rose pumpkin. Check out that tutorial if you want to make a wreath like this. It is the same except you are covering a wreath instead of a pumpkin!
Hope everyone has a safe Halloween! Don’t eat too much candy because we all know we will be going through our kid’s candy after they go to bed! Don’t tell me we are the only parents who do that. Ha!

Love this! What size circles did you do for the book page wreath? These look larger than the ones for the pumpkin? Or what size was the wreath form? Is this a foam wreath form or a wire one? I may attempt one of these for the holidays. But wow does it look like a big project!

Hi Melissa! Thank you! You are taking me back! Ha! I made this wreath back before I was blogging so I am not exactly sure what size the circles are. However, you are right about the ones on the pumpkin being bigger. You have a good eye! 🙂 The biggest finished rose size on the pumpkin is 1″ and the size of the roses on the wreath are 1.25″. So I am guessing that the circles were 4″. The wreath is a 12″ foam wreath that I covered with book pages and Mod Podge first so the green wreath would not show through. Good luck, it is really not too big of a project once you get going.
