Happy October! It is finally starting to feel like Fall, so it is the perfect time to start decorating for it, right? Sometimes it is hard to get motivated to decorate for a season when we have so much going on in our lives, me included! However, there are simple ways to decorate without having to go all out. Vignettes are the perfect solution for that. I love vignettes for the fact that they can add festiveness to your room without too much work. Today I am going to share an example of a super simple fall vignette.
In truth, this was not the vignette I initially had planned in my head. This sort of just got thrown together as a placeholder for the baby boo pumpkins and a couple pieces of wheat from a project I was working on. But….when I saw the simplicity of it, I fell in love with it! This is a good lesson for me… sometimes simple is better.
The pumpkin in the cloche was in the initial plan however. I have had the cloche for a while but needed a tray for it to go on. When I was at Hobby Lobby the other day, I saw this cake holder and thought it may work.
I knew it could also work double time for all those little cakes and pies I bake… ahem, I mean buy! 🙂 So I brought it home and it ended up working perfectly! I loved the mix of metal and natural wood look it has too. It works great with this tray and it will be easy to fit into my decor in the future.
Aren’t these baby boo pumpkins the cutest?
Pumpkins are an obvious choice for a fall vignette but other natural elements are fantastic to use in a vignette as well. Especially for fall, items like the wheat and acorns are easily accessible and look amazing together! Other things you could use would be pine cones, branches, leaves etc. Most of these are also items that you can find in your yard for free or buy at the store for cheap.
Take all your items and put them in a tray to display on your coffee table, dining table or counter. That’s it! Super simple, right? This vignette took literally just a couple minutes to throw together.
Speaking of trays, this one is a refurbished tray from a clearance section find. Here is the tutorial with the before pictures of this farmhouse tray makeover. It doesn’t even look like the same tray, it looks much better now. 🙂
The wheat and colors of the pillows are hints to how I decorated our fall mantel this year. 🙂
Have a wonderful day!

Thanks Jeannie! I am glad you are enjoying them! I will do my best to keep them coming. 😉
Sometimes the simplest things make the best decorations. Pumpkins are already pretty to look at, so it’s perfect to display as-is.
I agree Erlene! I have to remind myself of that sometimes. 🙂
SImple is clearly not a bad thing, since this looks lovely! #MM
Thanks Megan!
