Decorate your dining room with green and gold St. Patrick’s Day decor to set a festive mood! Include a simple tablescape to finish the look!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day… or close to it anyway! I have shared a couple St. Patty’s Day crafts recently and now I am excited to show you how I decorated with them. I may have went a little overboard on my green and gold St. Patrick’s Day decor, or just maybe it is the perfect amount. What do you think?
I realize that St. Patrick’s Day is not one that most people decorate for however we always do in our house and we aren’t even Irish! Ha! We actually celebrate a birthday in the family on the actual day, so it is fun to decorate for the holiday to make it more special! And of course, everyone wears green! 😉
St. Patrick’s Day tablescape
I set a really simple tablescape to coordinate with my green and gold St. Patrick’s Day decor. You may recognize these gold four-leaf clover napkin rings. I just shared them a couple weeks ago.
I kept the place settings simple with gold chargers and white plates. The light sage green napkins worked well with some of the greens in the decor.
The gold four-leaf-clovers also worked well as accent pieces in the greenery along the table runner.
St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece
I like to keep my centerpieces fairly simple so that they can be removed when we need to use the table. Flat trays or baskets are great for this purpose, just place some decorations in the tray and you can easily slide it to the side when you need to.
I used some fun vases that went with my color scheme. I also added some gold hydrangea flowers in the white vase. These all look great with the rest of the St. Patty’s Day decorations around the room. Including this Ombre DIY shamrock pillow that I made a couple years ago. 🙂
St. Patrick’s Day Buffet Table Decor
In addition to the table, I also decorated the buffet table. The focal piece is the DIY gold shamrock on the wreath on the mirror. Check out the tutorial to see how to make one for yourself! It is so easy, your kids could make it!
Under the shamrock wreath are a couple abstract paintings that my sister made for Mr. Wonderful years ago. They were gifts given as part of our homemade Christmas gift exchange. There are actually four pieces in total but I only used two here due to the space I had. The colors worked perfectly for this decor!
On the left side of the gold mirror, I added a big white vase with some greenery and white and gold flowers.
On the other side, I added a big white lantern with some gold and green balls along with some other fun St. Patty’s Day decorations. I found the beads with the shamrock at Hobby Lobby this year.
I also found these shamrocks decorations there too! They are perfect with the various shades of green. It really pulled all the decor together so I didn’t have to use only a certain shade of green.
This leprechaun is actually a vintage liquor bottle. That is why the leprechaun looks really happy. Ha!!
Lastly, I also added some gold candlesticks with different colored green and white candles.
To wrap things up, on the window ledge, I added some coordinating pillows and decorated the three tiered tray with a St. Patrick’s Day theme as well.
That’s it for the St. Patrick’s Day content for this year! I have already started on some Easter stuff, so I will be sharing that with you soon! Until then, have a wonderful week!
